About Your Denim
Denim naturally evolves with wear. Dark-wash and indigo denim may naturally fade or release excess dye, especially when new. This is a natural characteristic of the dyeing process rather than a product defect.
Proper washing, drying, and everyday care help preserve the original color, shape, and feel of your denim and keep it in good condition for longer.
Before Your First Wear
Before washing, please try on your denim first to make sure the size and fit are right for you.
Once you are satisfied with the size and fit,we recommend washing dark-wash denim before the first wear to help remove excess surface dye.As returned items must remain unwashed, we recommend washing your denim only after you are satisfied with the item and have decided to keep it.
During the first few wears, take extra care around light-colored items. Avoid prolonged contact with light-colored clothing, bags, shoes, furniture, or other light-colored surfaces, as friction may cause color transfer.
How to Care for Your Denim
- Wash only when needed. Avoid unnecessary washing to help preserve the color and shape of your denim.
- Hand wash in cold water. Wash separately or with similar dark colors, especially during the first few washes
- Wash inside out. Turn your denim inside out before washing to help reduce friction and preserve the surface color
- Use a mild detergent. Avoid bleach and fabric softener.
- Check the care label. Care requirements may vary by fabric and style. Always follow the specific instructions on the garment care label.
Please Note: Dark-wash and indigo denim may release more excess dye when new, and some color bleeding may still occur after the first wash. With proper washing and wear, excess dye will typically decrease over time.
Drying & Maintenance
- Line dry in the shade whenever possible to help maintain the original shape and fit of your denim.
- Avoid excessive heat, as high temperatures may cause shrinkage or affect the fabric.
- Reshape after washing and allow your denim to dry naturally.
Our Policy on Dye Transfer
Dye transfer and gradual fading can be natural characteristics of indigo-dyed and dark-wash denim. We recommend following the care instructions above and the specific care label on your garment to help minimize color transfer.
